Question about the anime, Yu Yu Hakusho...

I've just started watching it and yes I know it finished over 13 years ago, but I just now thought about watching it and plus I was only 5 when it started.

Anyway the question is, "Why is the show called Yu Yu Hakusho?"

The main characters name is Yasuke Urameshi, so why that name for the show, is there someone called Hakusho and what's with the "Yu Yu"

Any help would be appreciated.

Yu Yu Hakusho (幽☆遊☆白書)

Loosely translated it means

幽: spirit/ghost or Yu in Yusuke
遊: travels/adventure
白書: white book

So it probably means "Adventures of the Spirit Detective Yusuke Urameshi in a White Book"?

and btw i'm quite sure the protagonist is called Yusuke and not Yasuke.
